Smallpox is the only viral disease that has wiped out the world forever.

Smallpox is caused by a virus that is endemic to humans.

It is an infectious disease caused by tow deadly known viruses,variola major and variola minor.

This is what is meant by dots or blisters in latin.

Smallpox may have started in humans as early as the 3rd century bc.

But around 1520, smallpox spread around the world. Like the playue , smallpox killed hundreds of millions of people world wide

Smalipox is estimated to have killed 350 million people over the centuries.

With the untimely death of people from smallpox  the british physician Edward jenner inven6ted in 1796 to eradicate the disease.

But it took about 209 years for mankind to experience the full effect of the vaccine.

Neil Armstrong and others claim that the greatest achievement in human history was the landing on the moon, but in face the real victory was given to sir edvard jenner for the complete eradication of the deadly virus that claimed the lives of millions of people prematurely

It is the greatest achievement that man has ever achieved in good faith.

The eronomic achievements of eradicating the disease from the world world forever cannot be overstated. 

The world health organization (who) was able to eradicate smallpox from the world in 1979 as a successful immunization campaign launched throughout the 19th And 20th centuries.
